Join Meira Spivak for a deep dive, as we begin the journey of learning the backdrop of the Systematic Inventive Thinking (SIT) method of innovation and why 'out of the box' brainstorming methods don't work. Delve into the 3 prerequisites for understanding S.I.T. - the principles of Function Follows Form, Fixedness, and the Closed World. 
From there, we will explore the Subtraction template and begin to truly see challenges as opportunities. What are the benefits of being short staffed? How could you run a program without a budget?  What might be the benefits of such predicaments? Or do no benefits exist at all? Less is more when it comes to innovation and by eliminating components rather than adding, you will have creative breakthroughs.
